Full day trip to the North with Elliot Chodoff, Military Analyst, IDF Major (res.)
  • Travel north along Israel's border with Jordan.
  • Visit Naharayim and the Island of Peace where 7 schoolgirls from Beit Shemesh were killed by a Jordanian soldier in 1997.
  • Overlook above the Sea of Galilee.
  • Explore the security situation in the North, including the re-arming of Hizbullah in Lebanon after the 2006 War; the prospects for peace with Syria; and the possible return of Syrian forces to the shores of the sea.
  • Discuss means of combating terrorism and the new hybrid guerrilla/terrorist organizations.
  • Continue to Mt Bental, where we will look out over the Damascus plain, and get a sense of the military significance of the Golan in the defense of Northern Israel.
  • Dine in Zichron Yaakov at the original Carmel Winery.
